Optical patch robot

Alliton is the Hungarian and regional value added distributor partner of US-based Telescent Inc, the manufacturer of the Network Topology Manager (NTM), the optical patch robot.

The Virtual-Me-room – based on the automated optical patch robot of Telescent NTM – provides a flexible solution for the followings:

  • Re-structure and change management of the topology of optical networks
  • Eliminate the human errors of patching
  • Rapid patching – average patching time of a duplex connection is about 4 minutes
  • Remote OPM/OTDR measurements
  • Up-to-date documentation
  • No cooling is necessary
  • Low Power Consumption ~15 W in Steady State

The NTM equipment can be installed to existing (both multi and single mode) cabling systems. The solution is scalable between 48 and 1008 duplex ports per unit.

The reliability and the high availability is assured by

  • Fully latched, passive (no electric power is necessary) optical connections
  • Upgrades, up-scaling and maintenance can be done on-line
  • Dual electric feed, hot swap platform that can be virtualized.

Remotely accessible by CLI, WebGUI and RestAPI user interface.
